I was born surrounded by "greenhouses" of flowers, especially roses; my grandfather was one of the first flower growers in Sanremo, as early as 1929.
Today, passion has turned those "greenhouses" into a large botanical garden, an open-air paradise (this technique is the oldest and most natural, allowing the roots to develop freely and the plants to draw nourishment from the soil; it is typical of Sanremo, thanks to the city's climate). It includes a collection of more than 40 roses, including one still from my grandfather's cultivation; a series of rare plants, including the White Wisteria, one of three that bloom in Sanremo; the Strelitzia, also known as "Birds of Paradise", with its large, oval, elongated leaves and heron-beak-shaped flowers in intense orange, yellow, and blue, which rise up to 2 meters above the vegetation; the hairy, scented geraniums, and the "Pelosa" of Libereso, the Agapanthus (known as "the Lilies of the Nile" but it contains a deeper meaning, it is "the flower of Love", its grace and its colors have inspired world artists), a collection of succulent plants, Cycas, aloe vera, palms, grasses of various colors, from all over the world and fruit trees, creating a suggestive and unforgettable panorama and atmosphere with the view of the sea all around
